Event 2: Golf Outing

Location: Cove Cay Golf Club, Clearwater
Cost: $60

0830 Shotgun start. Lunch and awards at conclusion. Cove Cay Golf Course, USGA rated, 18 hole championship length golf course on the western shore of Tampa Bay. Fantastic views. Located 45 mins from Sheraton Sand Key Resort – entry fee includes golf, a cart and lunch. Rental clubs are available. Pick your own foursome or let us assign you. Our golf organizer will be in touch.

Event 3 Tour St. Petersburg
Time: Depart 1000  0900, Return 1400
Location: Downtown St. Petersburg
Cost: $10 for transportation

Chartered bus to downtown St. Petersburg for a two hour self-guided walking tour. Visit Dali Museum , Museum of Fine Arts, Florida Holocaust Museum, Numerous shops and restaurants. Roost Committee investigating possibility of visit to former CGAS St. Petersburg at Albert Whited Airport.

First full gathering to renew friendships, meet and greet with buffet dinner, no-host tiki-bar.

Event 5: Annual Business Meeting
Time: 0830-1100
Location: Gulf/Palm Ball Ballrooms
Cost: No Charge

Important business meeting to consider the future of the CGAA. Your involvement is important for the business of the day. The Coast Guard aviation leaders will provide their annual update.

Event 6 Starlite Cruise & Lunch

Chartered Jolly Trolley from Sheraton to the Clearwater Marina and return. The Star Lite Majesty Yacht hosts our two- hour leisurely cruise. Enjoy lunch and an informative narration by the Captain along Florida’s beautiful inland waters. Sightsee on one of the outer decks and luncheon service in a climatically controlled dining area.

The closing event for the 2019 Roost – Enjoy lunch, meet the Officers and Crew, take in the new equipment, make new friends and rendezvous with some new shipmates.

Event 9: Schooling of the Silver Fins Association.
Time: 1800-2300
Location: Sheraton’s Poolside Café Cost: No-Host Bar (First round on anonymous friend of swimmers everywhere)

Now calling all past and present finned aviators to the annual schooling of the Silver Fins Association, (a division of the Coast Guard Aviation Association). Stories will be told (and re-told) and some of them will even be true. Raise glasses to our good fortune to have had the best job in the world, to the new swimmers who follow after, and to our dear friends who have moved on.
